Kanyapur Polytechnic Electrical Engineering (DEE)

The inception of Electrical Engineering(DEE) Department was in 1962 when it offered four years LEE course. After a journey of few decades the Electrical Engineering Department comes to its present condition offering three years diploma course with an intake of 40 students per year and two years diploma course with an intake of 08 students per year. The department provides laboratory facilities to the students of both diploma courses. The laboratories belong to this department are mentioned below:

Electrical Machine Laboratory
Electrical Measurement Laboratory
Power System Laboratory
Electronics Laboratory
Digital Electronics Laboratory

Each theoretical course is backed up by sufficient laboratory experiments. The students of this department may well claim the honour of being trained in the most sophisticated and state-of the art laboratories available in the state. The Workshop facilities provide hands-on training. Departmental faculty members always take care of the academic affairs of the students. The department gives supports the other two departments Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering by taken theory and laboratory classes like Computer Fundamental, Computer Programming etc. This department also gets supports from the faculty members other two departments Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering who take theory and laboratory classes like Technical Drawing, Engineering Mechanics, Strength of Material, Power Plant engineering, Electrical Technology, Fundamental of electronics, Principle of Electrical Engineering etc. The department frequently arrange seminar and workshop. Also, renowned personalities from the different academia institution and Industry are often invited to deliver lectures on the state of the art topics. Industrial visits are also organized to make the students aware of the recent developments in the industry. Many students get employment in the final year of the course through campus interviews and many opt for higher studies after qualifying examinations JELET.
